Add

MANUALLY

From the IM online menu, select

IM Contacts > Options > Add new

contact > Manually enter ID

At the prompt, enter the contact’s user ID, and select

The user ID is set by the user’s IM service provider, and is 1–50 characters long.

At the prompt, enter a screen name of 1–20 characters for the contact, and
select

This is the name that will appear in the IM contact list.

WHILE CHATTING

If you are chatting with someone who is not in your IM contact list, you can add
that person during the chat session.

During a conversation, select

Options > Save to contacts

At the

Contact name

prompt, enter a screen name of 1–20 characters for the

contact, and select

This is the name that will appear in the IM contact list.

FROM PHONE MAIN CONTACT LIST

If an entry in the phone main contact list contains a user ID for IM and presence,
you can add that contact to the IM contact list.

From the IM online menu, select

IM Contacts > Options > Add new contact >

From contacts

and the desired contact from the phone contact list.

FROM THE NETWORK

You can search for a contact on your IM service provider’s network, and add the
contact to your IM contact list.

From the IM online menu, select

Search > Users

Follow the prompts to select the desired search criteria and to add the desired
contacts to your IM contact list.

Remove

From the IM online menu, select

IM Contacts

, the contact you want to remove,

and

Options > Remove from contacts > OK

Block

From the IM online menu, select

IM Contacts

and the contact from whom you

want to block messages.
