BA VALVE
Congratulations on your new backflow preventer (valve BA-class according to EN 1717).
Read the enclosed instructions before using the backflow preventer. Keep the instructions within reach.
A backflow preventer prevents tapped water to flow back into the water mains.
Instructions for Backflow Preventer
WARNING!
A high pressure washer using cold
water must not be connected to potable
water mains without installing a back-
flow preventer (BA valve).
1. Safety
• Follow the installation guide
•
Only use the backflow preventer for
its intended use
•
Warranty is according to your local
Law of Sale
•
Any other installation and use than
described in these instructions will
not be considered as recommended
use and will invalidate the war-
ranty. Disassembling the backflow
preventer will also invalidate the

intended to be used with clean and
unpolluted water.
• Protect the backflow preventer to any

If there is a risk of running sands in
the inlet water (i.e. from your own
well), an additional filter should be
mounted. This filter is to be mounted
between water tap and backflow
preventer.
WARNING!
As soon as water has passed
through the backflow pre-
venter, it is considered to
be non-potable water.
WARNING!
This backflow preventer is only
intended to be used with clean and
unpolluted water.
2. Functions
To absorb possible pressure peaks, the
length of the hose between the backflow
preventer and the high pressure washer
must be at least 10/12 meters (½ or ¾
inches in diameter (see 7. Technical
data))
WARNING!
Release water (max. 100ml

flow safely away without
damaging any effects or

without a backflow preventer.
3. Installation guide

water tap.
4. Mount another coupling(b) between
the backflow preventer and the
water hose (see 7. Technical data for
thread and length).
5. Connect the hose to the high pressu-
