MAINTENANCE
Every 3 years...

Check the carbon brushes in the brush motor. Replace the brushes if they are worn to a length of 3/8 inch (10 mm)
or less.

Remove the fill plug from the top of the gear box and check the oil level. The oil should be 1-1/2 inches (3.8 cm) from
the top of the gear box. Use 140W gear lube only.

Check the belt tension. There should be about 3/32 inch (2 mm) of belt deflection when 3-1/4 pounds of pressure
is applied between the pulleys.

Remove the actuator from the machine (see the
Brush Lift Actuator Replacement
section).

Remove the access panel from the right side of the machine.
