AF-Assist Illumination
The AF-assist illuminator has a range of about 1.0–3.0 m (3 ft
4 in.–9 ft 10 in.). Some lenses may block the illuminator at
certain focus distances.

Remove lens hoods when using the illuminator.

used for autofocus
NIKKOR Z 24–70mm f/2.8 S
AF-assist illumination cannot be used
for autofocus at distances under 1.5 m
(4 ft 12 in.)
NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S
NIKKOR Z 70–200mm f/2.8 VR S
AF-assist illumination cannot be used
for autofocus at distances under 2.0 m
