For the DIC Microscopy
(1)
To perform the infrared DIC microscopy through the rear port
Push in the lever on the left side of the variable
magnification double port attachment to locate the IR
analyzer into the optical path.
When you wish to use the epi-fl attachment together,
locate the empty hole into the optical path for the epi-fl
attachment turret and check that the analyzer in the epi-fl
attachment turret is not used..
(2)
To perform the infrared DIC microscopy through the rear port
You must use the simple analyzer, FN-IR/ISA DIC IR
analyzer, or the epi-fl attachment, D-FL U-EPI FL, to
perform the DIC microscopy through the front port.
When you use the epi-fl attachment, insert the DIC
analyzer.

Polarizer Turret
You can perform the DIC microscopy under visible lights (the wavelength range is from 430 nm to 770
nm) and under infrared rays (the wavelength range is 850 nm to 950 nm) with the microscope FN1.
To perform the DIC microscopy, attach a polarizer for visible lights or infrared rays (the FN-P polarizer
or the FN-IRP polarizer) into the upper turret of the polarizer turret.
