Step Action
TIP
1. Connection
•
10-285
Connect the unit according to the wiring diagram (fig. 1).
•
10-385
Connect the unit according to the wiring diagram (fig. 2).
Disconnect all power before installing the internal unit.
Do not connect the device to the mains voltage until
installation has been completed.
2. Installation of flush-mounting
box
Use the cable openings foreseen in the flush-mounting
box to wire the external units.
Tighten the surface-mounting box using 4 (10-285) or 6
(10-385) screws (fig. 3).
• Mount the flush-mounting box completely level with the wall.
• Place the camera at a 160 to 170 cm height.
(Not included: screws to mount the flush-mounting box)
3. Cabling
The 10-285 requires a 3-wired connection, the 10-385
requires a 6-wired connection.
The cabling between the modules (fig. 4).
Keep in mind the maximum distance between the power
supply and the internal or external unit.
4. Connection of a bell push button
(05-540)
Connect the bell push button to the terminals E and P (fig.
1 & fig. 2).
Remove the lamp from the bell push button to prevent
the power from being continuously used, making calls no
longer possible.
5. Mounting sealings
• Install the included sealing to the front plate. Firstly, cut
the upper sealing into the right size before sealing off
the sides (fig. 5a).
• To prevent condensation, do not seal the bottom of the
front plate.
Cut the included sealing 1 mm shorter than the width of
the front plate; the sealings must be 0.5 mm off the edge
(fig. 5b).
6. Mounting front plate
• Place the hinges over the bolts, included in the flush-
mounting box (fig. 6).
• Secure the hinges using the nuts (M3).
• Mount the front plate on the flush-mounting box with the
included screws and Allen key. Ensure that the sealings
are pressed against the wall.
Before completely securing the hinges, adjust the front plate
until it is against the wall.
