7.4 Calibration
7.4.1 Shading plate position
Purpose: Calibrating the shading plate positions of the H, V, and S axes
* Whenever part positons are mechanically changed due to mechanical adjustment or part
replacement, perform calibration of the shading plate positions.
Jig: Axis position adjustment jig set LEDJ-16 (40396-2100)
<H axis, V axis, S axis>
1. Prepare as below before calibrating the shading plate positions.
1) Remove the drill bit (44101-M381).
2) Remove the cup holder (44031-2100).
3) Remove the right cover (44101-M202) and
left cover (44101-M203).
Remove the top cover ASSY. (44101-
2100) (see 5.3).
4) Remove the spring (44101-M508) from the
H axis unit.
2. Turn on the power while pressing the START button and STOP button simultaneouly.
3. After confirming the LED (left side) blinks, press the START button.
4. Confirm that the H, V, and S axes are shaded.
<When LED (left side) illuminates: The H, V, S axes are all shaded.>
1) Turn the V axis gear fully by hand in the shading direction (clockwise as veiwed from the
top).
2) Proceed to Step 6.
<LEDs (both left and right sides) blink: Any of the H, V, S axes is not shaded.>
1) Adjust the shading plate positions of the H, V, S axes so that all the axes are shaded.
* Pay particular attention to the shading plate position of the V axis.
2) After adjusting the shading plate positions, turn off the Lex Drill.
3) Restart from Step 2.
