Test, Maintenance and Troubleshooting
In cleaning the body of this instrument, use only a mild soap and water
solution on a damp cloth.
Caution
Do not use acetone or other organic solvents on the Model 1815-C.
Organic solvents attack the ABS plastic case.
This section contains information to verify that the Model 1815-C electrical
performance is within the specified accuracy. Model 1815-C specifications
may be found at the front of this manual.
Ideally, performance verification should be performed when the instrument is
first received to ensure that no damage or change in calibration has occurred
during shipment. The verification procedure should also be performed
whenever instrument accuracy is suspect. If the performance under these
circumstances is outside specified limits, contact Newport Corporation about
re-calibration.
Note
If the instrument does not meet specifications and it is still under
warranty (less than 12 months since date of shipment), contact your
local Newport Corporation representative or the factory to deter-
mine the action to be taken.
