Install the NETGEAR USB Media Extender Utility
To use the ReadySHARE Music and networking features, you must install the NETGEAR
USB Media Extender utility on your computer. This utility is provided on the resource CD that
came with your Music Extender. If your Music Extender did not come with a resource CD, you
can download the NETGEAR USB Media Extender utility from the NETGEAR website.
Download the NETGEAR USB Media Extender Utility
The NETGEAR USB Media Extender utility is a free download available from the NETGEAR
website.
To download the NETGEAR USB Media Extender utility:
1.
From the computer that is connected to your Powerline network, launch an Internet
browser, and visit
http://support.netgear.com

2.
Click the
For Home
tab.
3.
In the search box, type
xau2511
and press
Enter
.
4.
From the downloads list, select the NETGEAR USB Media Extender utility.
5.
Click the
Download
button to download the NETGEAR USB Media Extender utility to your
computer.
