ReadyNAS for Home RAIDiator 5.3
During the factory reboot process, you have a 10-minute window to choose a RAID
configuration. RAIDar sends a prompt to click the Setup button during this 10-minute time
frame.

Launch RAIDar, highlight your storage system, and click the
Setup
button.
The ReadyNAS Volume Setup screen displays.
If you do not select a format within 10 minutes, your system reboots in the same mode
that it was previously using.

Select the
Flexible Volume (Flex-RAID)
radio button.

(Optional) Click a
More
button to learn more about X-RAID2 or Flex-RAID.
A pop-up window displays. Click the
OK
button to close it.

From the Select the desired RAID level drop-down list, select a RAID level or JBOD
formatting.
