Connect one end of the AC power cord to the power outlet on the rear panel of the switch 
and the other end of the power adapter cable to the wall outlet.

Refer to Figure 4-2 when connecting the Model FS509 switch. Each of the preceding steps has 
a corresponding reference number in the illustration.

Note: 

The 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet port always operates at full-duplex. The link 

negotiation state of the Gigabit Ethernet port (ON or OFF) must be the same as its 
remote port.
