4-1-6 DHCP MAC-IP 

 

The DHCP server will continuously assign IP addresses to the PCs on LAN. If you want a 

certain PC on LAN to use a fixed IP address, you can specify an IP address to map with a 

specific MAC address of particular PC. This MAC-IP Mapping function will reserve particular IP 

addresses for the PCs you set so that they can dynamically receive the same IP address every 

time. In other words, fixed IP address will be assigned to fixed MAC address (i.e. PC). The PC 

user can then provide a fixed IP address to other people and applications.
