Turn the controller module over and open it by pressing the button to release the cover, and then slide the cover out. Ref Fig 10.

Fig 11 identifies the Boot Media Device location.

Remove the
old
Boot Device:
a)
Push the release tab on the Boot Media holder cover and open the cover.
b)
Hold the boot device by its edges at the notches and gently lift it straight up and out of the housing.

Install the
new
Boot Device:

Close the boot device cover.

Close the controller cover. Ref Fig 10.

Action Description
Adhere to anti-static precautions. (A paper ESD strap is included inside the RMA box if you don't have your own)
Align the new boot device with the boot device socket or connector, and then firmly push the boot device straight down into
the socket or connector.

Note: Lifting the boot device out at an angle can bend or break the connector
pins in the boot device. So, lift it straight up out of the housing.
Also, Installing the boot device at an angle or over the rear plastic pin first
can bend or damage the pins in the boot device connector. So, install it by
aligning the front of the boot device squarely over the pins in the socket at
the front of the boot device housing.
