FUNCTIONS

ON/OFF CONTROL - 

 Controls electrical power switch to the appliance. Always turn 

control to OFF position before unplugging cord from outlet.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL- 

Controls the temperature of the heating surface. MIN. 

is low heat and MAX is high heat.

INDICATOR LIGHT - 

When ON shows the appliance is heating and will turn OFF 

when desired setting is reached. It will then cycle ON/OFF during use.

CAST IRON HEATING SURFACE - 

Durable heating surface will evenly distribute heat 

and last for many uses with proper care and cleaning as described in this manual.

ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS

•  CAUTION HOT SURFACES! This appliance is hot during use and retains heat for 

some time after turning OFF. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the 

risk of burns, fires or other injury to persons or damage to property.

•  Always use oven mitts when handling hot materials and allow metal parts to cool 

before cleaning.

•  All users of this appliance must read and understand this “Use & Care Guide” 

before operating or cleaning this appliance.

•  When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for 

air circulation.

•  Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.

•  If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately unplug the cord 

from electrical outlet.

•  The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120V AC electrical wall 

outlet.

•  Use this appliance in a stable position at all times.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

•  Turn ON/OFF control to “ON” position.

•  Adjust temperature control to desired position. MIN is low heat. MAX is high heat.

•  The Indicator light will turn ON when heating to selected temperature setting, 

and light will turn OFF/ON during normal use to indicate appliance is maintaining 

temperature.

•  Use flat and stable cookware. For best results use cookware 6 - 8 inches [1.5 - 2.2 

cm] in diameter.

•  When finished using appliance, turn temperature control to MIN and the ON/OFF 

control to OFF. CAUTION! THE METAL SURFACES BECOME HOT; TO AVOID BURNS, 

DO NOT TOUCH DURING OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE.

•  Remove appliance cord from electrical outlet.

•  Allow to cool completely before cleaning and storing.

CARE AND CLEANING

•  Make sure hot plate is unplugged and cooled before cleaning.

•  Do not submerge in water or any other liquid. 

Not Dishwasher Safe

•  Use a damp cloth or sponge with mild soap to clean outer appliance.

•  Do not use abrasive cleansers or metal scrubbing pads to clean. This will 

damage item and can cause possible electric shock.

•  Store in a dry place. Avoid damp or flooded areas.
