Connection of Multi-Media, Carbon or Softeners to Lock-Out (Shut-down) RO during back-wash or regeneration:
If you have pre-treatment equipment and you wish to shut-down the RO system during backwash or regeneration, a
microswitch is required (standard with Applied Membranes equipment). Wire the microswitch to terminal labeled Pretreat
inside controller. See photo - Page 12.
When equipment goes into backwash or regeneration, the pre-treat limit switch opens and turns power off the inlet
solenoid valve, which then turns the RO pump off - and back on when the cycle is complete.
