2.2.8 VGA Connector
Nuvo-5095GC series has multiple display outputs on its front panel for connecting different
displays according to your system configuration. VGA connector is the most popular way for
connecting a display. The VGA output on Nuvo-5095GC series supports up to 1920 x 1200
resolution. By BIOS default and hardware implementation, the VGA output is always
enabled even when VGA monitor is not connected.
Nuvo-5095GC series supports tipple independent display outputs with any combination of
VGA, DVI/HDMI and DisplayPort. To support multiple display outputs and achieve best
DVI/HDMI output resolution in Windows, you need to install corresponding graphics driver.
Please refer to section 4.5 for information of driver installation.
Note
1.
Please make sure your VGA cable includes SDA and SCL (DDC clock and data) signals for
correct communication with monitor to get resolution/timing information. A cable without
SDA/SCL can cause blank screen on your VGA monitor due to incorrect resolution/timing
output.
2. For customer who connect sole DVI/DP monitor and no VGA output is needed, you can
permanently disable VGA output in BIOS menu. In this case, the DVI/DP is set as
primary output and display on DVI/DP is available in both DOS and Windows/Linux
environment.
