Noise 2.5
Figures on noises produced by a machine identical to the one described in this manual,
measured according to the "Machine Directives " (89/392/CEE and following
amendments).
Level of continuous acoustic pressure equivalent pondered A, emitted by the machine is
lower than 70dB (A)
The measurements made in front of the machine (normal position of operator), at one
meter from the machine, with the machine on idling speed are lower than 60 dB (A)with
peaks of 70 db
Calculation of noise made according to the ISO 11202:1995 standard.
Information on noise hazards
2.5.1
The levels of acoustic emission indicated do not necessarily imply safe exposure levels for
the worker. The levels of exposure of the worker are obviously linked to the emission
levels of the machine, however other factors affect the levels of exposure of the workers:
duration of the exposure, characteristics of the area and the presence of other machines.
The levels of emission of the machine, however, allow the users to assess the danger
related to acoustic emissions.
A continuous use of the machine and of other machinery present in the area of installation
could lead to a high level of personal daily exposure to noise.
When daily personal exposure is equal to or higher than 85 dB(A) the use of PPE is
recommended (protective caps, protective ear plugs, ...).
When daily personal exposure is equal to or higher than 90 dB(A) the operator must use
PPE (protective caps, protective ear plugs, ...).
For further information on the protection measures, in Italy refer to UNI EN458 standard
of 1995 and EN457
