Tips for working with your drill
Drilling concrete and brick
•
Set the changeover switch
(8) (Drill/ Impact drill) on the Impact Drill position.
•
Use the hard metal drill and a high rotation speed when working with brick or
concrete.
Drilling steel
•
Set the changeover switch (8) (Drill/ Impact drill) on the Drill position.
•
Use the HSS drill (HSS: high-alloy quick-working steel) and a low rotation speed
when working with steel.
Screwing in/ loosening screws
•
Set the changeover switch
(8) (Drill/ Impact drill) on the Impact Drill position.
•
Use a low rotation speed.
Drilling holes
•
When you would like to drill deep holes in hard materials, such as steel, we
recommend that you first pre-drill the hole with a small drill.
Drilling in tile
•
Set the changeover switch (8) (Drill/ Impact drill) on the Drill position and drill the
hole.
•
Set the changeover switch (8) (Drill/ Impact drill) on the Impact Drill position as
soon as the drill has penetrated the tile.
Motor cool down
•
If the motor has intensely overheated, allow it to run idle for 2 to 3 minutes on
maximum rotation speed.
