4.11 Setting Gain
The camera can adjust the analog gain (x1 to x20 in 7 steps) and the digital gain(x1
to x2 in 512 steps). As the diagram below indicates, increasing the gain setting
increases the slope of the camera
’s response curve and results in a higher camera
output for a given amount of light.
Analog gain can be changed by sending the
”gax” command.
Digital gain can be changed by sending the
“gdx” command.
