Using the System Drives and Bays 5-11

Only install memory module options that are approved by NEC

Computers to ensure proper functionality of your NEC Versa notebook computer.

Contact your NEC Computers dealer for information about available supplied/approved
memory modules.

Before handling any internal components, discharge static

electricity from yourself and your clothing by touching a nearby metal surface.

Removing a Memory Module

Follow these steps to remove a memory module.

Power off the NEC Versa notebook and disconnect any peripheral devices.

Turn over the system and locate the memory module bay.

Locating the memory bay screw and cover

– Memory Module Bay Cover

– Screw

Remove the screw and bay cover.

Press the locking tabs away from the sides of the memory module and hold while
gently lifting on the edge of the memory module.
