The NEC Versa 550 series provides VGA VESA driver diskette for installing different dis-
play resolution drivers for Windows Setup. You can also toggle the display between the
LCD and the external monitor by pressing the
<Fn>
key +
<F10>
key combination.
NOTE:
Even when set to 800x600 or 1024x768
resolution, the external monitor will only show
640x480 resolution if the computer is running at
Simultaneous display. You need to toggle the
display to the external monitor only in order to
display higher resolution.

Printer Port (LPT 1)
The 25-pin printer port provides a parallel interface to which you can connect a parallel
printer or pocket network adapter. Many operating systems and software applications refer
to this port as LPT1. You can run the BIOS SETUP program to change the configuration
of the parallel port to Standard or Bidirectional.
