User Guide 

6. Configuration 

Once the disk array controller has been added to the server and the Disk Expansion Unit is 
connected with the server, configure the disk array using the “CONFIGURATION UTILITY”. 

IMPORTANT:

 Incorrect use of "CONFIGURATION 

UTILITY" may cause damage on the disk array 
configuration, and your valuable data may be lost.    We 
recommend you read carefully your server and disk array 
controller documentation before executing the utility 
program. 

About the disk array controller 

 

IMPORTANT:

 Make sure to use a disk array controller 

supported by the ST1220 Disk Expansion Unit.    Some 
non-supported disk array controller may cause failures and 
malfunctions of the chassis.
