User Guide 

CAUTION

 

 

The Disk Expansion Unit contains some components that are only good for a 
limited period of time and require replacement, such as the internal fan module 
and power unit.    For stable operation of the Disk Expansion Unit, NEC 
recommends you replace these components on a regular basis.    Contact your 
sales agent for more information.   

 

 

 
 

During Operation 

CAUTION

 

 

 
Do not touch the Disk Expansion Unit during a thunderstorm. 

 

 

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet when a thunderstorm is approaching. 
If the thunderstorm begins before you can disconnect the power plug, do not 
touch any part of the Disk Expansion Unit, including the cables. Failure to follow 
this warning may cause a fire or an electric shock. 

 

 
Do not place any object on top of the Disk Expansion Unit. 

 

 

The Disk Expansion Unit may fall and cause damage to the surroundings. 

 

 
Do not use a cellular phone or pager around the Disk Expansion Unit. 

 

 

Turn off cellular phones or pagers around the Disk Expansion Unit.    Radio 
interferences may cause malfunctions of the Disk Expansion Unit.
