3 1/2-Inch Drive Bracket Removal
Remove the 3 1/2-inch drive bracket as follows.
1.
Remove the system unit cover as previously described (see “System Unit Cover
Removal” in this section).
2.
Label and disconnect the cables attached to any hard disk drive installed in the
3-1/2-inch bracket.
3.
Remove the four screws, two to a side, securing the drive bracket (see
Figure Section 5-9).

4.
Slide the bracket out toward the rear of the system.
Card Guide/Fan Bracket Removal
The card guide/fan bracket assembly consists of two parts: the plastic card guide and the
internal fan. These parts are removed as one assembly from the system unit chassis per the
following steps.
