Installing VMware ESXi

1. Press the POWER switch on the front side of the server to start the system from CPU/IO module 0 and

then perform the following procedures.

Important Make sure that the PRIMARY LED on CPU/IO module 0 is lit.

Note

Make sure that Module POWER LEDs on both CPU/IO modules 0 and 1 are blinking, then
press the POWER switch.

2. Immediately after powering on the server, insert the VMware ESXi Install DVD into the DVD drive of the

server.

3. When an installation confirmation message appears, press

Enter

4. When the End User License Agreement (EULA) screen for VMware ESXi appears, press

F11
