Power-Saving Mode
If the ACPI compliant operating system is installed in your system, pressing POWER/SLEEP Switch can save
almost all power of the workstation (standby mode).
To use the power-saving mode, choose [Standby] in the Shutdown menu of Windows or change the setting for
POWER/SLEEP Switch from Power-off to Standby.
In the power-saving mode, POWER/SLEEP LED lights amber and the workstation retains the memory data and
the status of the previous operations. To resume the original state, press POWER/SLEEP Switch again.
Important
•
Do not change hardware configuration while turning into the power-saving mode
or in the power-saving mode. Otherwise, you may fail to resume the original
state.
•
The onboard RAID controller (LSI Embedded MegaRAID) does not support
hibernate and standby states. If your workstation runs with the RAID system, do
not let the system enter hibernation or standby mode.
Tips
Entering into the power-saving mode and returning to normal mode depends on setting on
OS. The operational level in the power-saving mode depends on the OS in use.
