(1) Installation
Follow the steps below to install a DIMM.
See
Chapter 2 (1.3 Preparing for Installation and Removal)
for preparations.

Remove the duct.

Tips
To remove the duct, push the rear of the chassis toward inside so that the catch on the duct
may not be damaged.
Open the levers at both ends of the DIMM slot.

Hold the DIMM vertically, and push it into the slot

as far as it will go.
The levers automatically close when the DIMM is
inserted into the slot.
Important Insert the DIMM straight and carefully. Applying too much pressure can damage the
DIMM or connector.
Install the duct, and reassemble the workstation.

Make sure that no error message appears on the POST screen.
6.
Run BIOS SETUP Utility to make sure that the installed DIMMs are correctly detected by BIOS.
7.
Change the paging file size.
8.
(2) Removal
Remove the DIMM in reverse order of installation procedure.
