To enable or disable autoburn
1. In ftServer Management Console (ftSMC), expand ftServer (Local), ftServer I/O
Enclosures, and I/O Enclosure - 10.
2. Expand VTM Adapter - 3 or VTM Adapter - 4, and then click VTM Config - 3 or
VTM Config - 4.
3. Right-click VTM Config - 3 or VTM Config - 4, and click Properties.
4. Next to Autoburn, select Enable or Disable.

Make sure that the system is running in duplex mode.
During the firmware update, you must disable each CPU
element. The remaining element must be able to keep the
system running.

In ftServer Management Console (ftSMC), make sure that you can view the system
you want to update.

Verify the BIOS version numbers
. Make sure that the installed BIOS is earlier than
the version to which you are upgrading.

Ensure that your system contains the files necessary for updating the BIOS by
copying the BIOS files to a hard disk on the system.

Update the BIOS

Application performance may be negatively impacted
while the disabled CPU element synchronizes its BIOS
with that on the updated CPU element.
