If you select“Tone” for the Audio prompts setting, then you will only get a tone for each of the prompts (Please say a command, Please say a phone number, Dial
<phone number digits>?, and Calling <phone number digits>) instead of the audio prompts.
In all cases (tone or “voice and tone”), the display will show the prompt that to which the phone is requesting a response.
Correcting Mistakes
Press
(Left) or
(Right) navigation key to scroll through the number and place the cursor to the right of the incorrect number. Press
CLR
(Clear/Back) key to
clear in di vid ual dig its to the left of the cursor or hold the
CLR
(Clear/Back) key at least 2 seconds to delete the entire phone num ber. Press a number key and it is in serted
at the cur sor position.
Ending Calls
There are 3 ways to end a call:

(1) Press
(End/On-Off), (2) Press
MENU
(Options Menu) and

to disconnect a call, or (3) Close your phone. (See Flag.) The phone returns to Idle screen.
Receiving Calls
When someone calls your number (phone is powered On),

The phone ringer sounds.
l
The second LCD backlight (located at the back of the flip cover) flashes.
l
The phone number of the person calling may display on the bottom, left of the screen if the caller ID feature is available and the caller has activated the feature.
l
The calling person’s number with a name and a picture (see page 98) may display if you have the caller has a phone number, name, and a picture stored in the
phonebook.
If the caller has withheld their caller ID, the screen provides a message that the number is being withheld.

If you are dialing a call, the phone gives
priority to receiving a call unless you have
already pressed
(Send).
