Create a report
Once the partial discharge source is clearly localized inside the transformer tank,
a test report can be generated from Mirador Tx.
Make sure the transformer serial number is written in the appropriate
field:
AE-150 control > Transformer > Serial number
.
To type more information, click on the
Optional Information
button:
AE-150 control > Transformer > Optional information.
Click on the report generation button:
At the prompt, click OK to launch the report generation process. This
may take a few seconds.
A Word file will be created.

Monitoring
While performing standard PrPD testing, the operator may not be able to find
significant PD patterns even though the transformer dissolved gas analysis
(DGA) results and history clearly shows partial discharge presence. Partial
discharges may occur in a particular time frame of the day/week due to
temporary high load or other factors. In order to determine this time frame, it is
recommended to use the monitoring feature to run successive PrPDs at a set
interval, for a set time frame. Once the partial discharge activity time window is
determined, standard localization tests will then be possible with better success.
Monitoring strategy
Define a monitoring strategy prior to start any investigation. As the AE-150
could be installed for days, it is recommended to maximize its coverage to
reduce monitoring time.
