Fault
Suggestion
Device
does
not
turn
off
If
in
vehicle:
check
that
the
12V
socket
is
not
still
powered
(on)
when
the
key
is
removed
(as
with
some
European
cars).
Wait
20
seconds
for
file
finalization
/
closure.
Disconnect
power
lead
to
device
Press
“ok”
to
stop
recording,
then
turn
off.
Cant
playback
the
.MOV
video
files
Upgrade
your
windows
media
player
version
or
use
an
alternate
media
player
such
as
VLC
media
player
My
video/pictures
of
an
incident
are
NOT
there
Check
the
capacity
of
your
SD
card,
the
files
may
have
been
overwritten
in
the
record
cycle
process.
If
the
Bump
file
record
feature
did
not
automatically
preserve
the
footage,
then
be
sure
to
manually
save
the
footage
next
time
by
pressing
the
“rec”
button
(left
most
yellow
triangle)
The
device
has
frozen
/
stopped
working.
Check
the
speed
of
your
SD
card.
We
recommend
class
6
for
faster
transfer
rates,
especially
If
the
record
file
size
is
bigger
(say
15
min
recording
increments
at
1080Full
HD).
Alternately,
check
the
car’s
internal
temperature.
The
device
will
enter
standby
mode
if
the
ambient
vehicle
temperature
is
below
0
or
above
30
degrees
C.
The
date/time
is
incorrect
Reset
the
date
/
time
in
the
settings
menu.
Otherwise
check
the
time
settings
to
see
if
it
is
set
by
GPS.
If
the
battery
runs
completely
flat,
then
the
date/time
will
need
to
be
reset

see
the

in

Check
the
USB
cable
connection
to
the
device
and
USB
port.
Try
another
USB
port,
possibly
directly

PC/notebook

than

that
playback

keeps

smaller

slower
card
wont
register
forcing

Crashcam

turn
off.

a
few
minutes
and
then
reconnect

turn

alerts
are
not
coming
up
You
must
use
the
original
charger
cable
and
not
an
aftermarket
charge
cable.
Alternately
reset
the
Crashcam
to
factory
default
which
will
re
‐
load
the
original
speed
camera
data.
Speed
signs
are
not
coming
up
Speed
sign
detection
will
work
best
when
the
car
is
facing
away
from
the
sun,
you
are
in
the
lane
closest
to
the
speed
sign,
it
is
not
night
time
and
the
speed
sign
is
not
an
LED
(lit
up)
sign.
Stop
/
Go
is
not
working
For
this
feature
to
work,
the vehicle
in
front
needs
to
move
off
and
10
or
so
seconds
to
pass
(register)
before
the
alert
goes
off.
