5. Connect the dummy load’s interlock or, if necessary, simulate the closing of all external
interlocks. This requires a short circuit between TB1-1 and TB1-2 and between TB1-3 and
TB1-4 of the control/interface PWB.
6. Ensure all networks connected to the transmitter’s RF output are properly covered.
7. In lieu of normal station programming, connect an analog audio generator, preset to 1000
Hz at zero output (turned off), to XLR
connector J12 on the control/interface PWB, or an
AES signal generator to connector J11 on the control/interface PWB.
WARNING:
If jumpers are placed between interlock terminals TB1-1/2 and TB1-3/4
on the control/interface pwb, safety features controlled by the
external interlocks will be disabled. A fail safe method of alerting
personnel to this fact should be implemented. Voltages which are
dangerous to life will be present on the RF output stages and the
antenna system if the transmitter is turned on.
