Adding a Microphone
Connecting a microphone allows you to expand the scope of your performance. You can talk to
your audience or integrate a beat boxing routine.
Connecting the Microphone
In order to connect a microphone to your S5:
►
Connect your microphone using a 6.3 mm connector into the
MIC
socket on the rear pan-
el of the S5.
Integrating the Microphone into Your TRAKTOR Workflow
In order to integrate the connected microphone into the mix:
1.
Hold the
AUX
button.
2.
While holding the
AUX
button speak into the microphone.
Your words are audible to the audience.
The microphone is integrated as long you keep the
AUX
button hold.
Adjusting Volume of Microphone
While holding the
AUX
button the LED rows on the Touch Strips change the illumination and
the LEDs next to the
LOOP
encoders flash. The
LOOP
encoders now function as Volume knobs
and the LEDs of the Touch Strips indicate the current volumes.
In order to adjust the volume of the microphone:
