7.19. Correcting Beatgrids of Tracks
When a track contains a complex rhythm or an uneven timing, it can happen that the Beatgrid cal-
culated by TRAKTOR does not precisely match the beat of the track. It is then not possible to
match the beats of that track when mixing it using the
SYNC
function. Miscalculated Beatgrids can
be corrected using the GRID mode on the S4. The GRID mode allows you to check and correct
the Beatgrid of tracks.
Checking Beatgrid
To check the Beatgrid for the selected track:
1.
Load the track into a Deck.
2.
Press Play/Pause to start playback of the track.
3.
Press the
CUE
button of the Mixer channel corresponding to that Deck.
4.
Press the
JOG
button to enable Jog Wheel mode.
5.
Press and hold the
GRID
button on that Deck to make the Beatgrid tick audible.
