Measure the ambient temperature at each side of the cRIO-9081, 63.5 mm (2.50 in.) from the
side and 50.8 mm (2.00 in.) forward from the rear of the cRIO-9081, as shown in the
following figure.

Mounting the Device Directly on a Flat Surface
For environments with high shock and vibration, NI recommends mounting the cRIO-9081
directly on a flat, rigid surface using the mounting holes in the cRIO-9081.

M4 screw (x6), user provided, which must not exceed 8 mm of insertion into the
cRIO-9081
