AT-DIO-32F User Manual

Counter Register Group

The four registers making up the Counter Register Group access the onboard 8254-2
Counter/Timer.

The 8254-2 contains three counters. Counters 1, 2, and 3 can be used for pattern generation, and
Counter 3 can also be used to generate timed interrupts.

Bit descriptions of the four registers making up the Counter Register Group are given on the
following pages.
