Set Default IP Gate - programs in the device default IP gateway which is assigned to the device when
DHCP server is not found in the network.
Set Default IP Port - programs in the device default IP port which is used by the device for data
communication purpose.
7. Firmware Update
Firmware update may be required if an error has been found it the device operation at certain conditions.
For making the firmware update in the device the following sequence must be performed:
1) The device must be switched in the bootloader mode by pressing on the Set Bootloader button in
the Bed Watcher Test Utility.
2) USB cable must be attached to the computer. READY (green) LED shall start blinking fast.
3) Firmware Update Utility for Windows must be run on the computer.

4) Search Devices button shall be pressed. When the device is found its name is displayed on the right
side from the Search Devices button. Otherwise no further steps are possible.
5) Firmware File... button shall be pressed for choosing the new firmware file on the local computer. The
file shall be obtained from the device manufacturer or re-seller. Selecting invalid file will make the
firmware update process impossible.
6) Update button shall be pressed. After that the utility will program the content of the selected firmware
file into the device. In case of no errors a message saying about successful operation will be shown.
Otherwise an error message will be displayed describing a possible reason of failure.
7) USB cable must be disconnected from the device
8) The device must be reboot by turning power off and on again.
If there is a failure during the firmware update process and / or no activity performed while the device is
in bootloader mode - the device will return to the normal mode after a 30 seconds timeout. The device
firmware will remain unchanged in this case.
8. Rules of Storage and Operation
The following rules of storage and operation must be strictly followed in order to guarantee proper
operation of the device. Violating these rules may be a reason for device faults and rejection of warranty
services.
The device must be used indoors, 10
C … +40
C temperature range, humidity no greater
than 60%.
Power up the device no earlier than in 2 hours after it has been brought from cold or hot
environment conditions outside of the range specified in previous bullet.
Do not plug any cables in USB 2.0 type-B socket. It is designed for firmware updates only.
