UnitiQute Quick Start Guide
English
1 Installing and Connecting
• Stand UnitiQute on a stable surface and ensure it is well ventilated.
• Check that the
mains
supply specified on the UnitiQute rear panel is appropriate for your
territory. Connect UnitiQute to the mains using the supplied cable but do not switch it on
until all other connections have been made.
• Identify the
signal Ground switch
and select the “chassis” option unless UnitiQute is
connected in a hi-fi system incorporating another earthed source component, or mains
hum is audible through the loudspeakers once UnitiQute is switched on.
• Connect the left and right speakers to the
speaker outputs
on the rear panel.
Ensure
when connecting the speakers that the positive and negative connection orientation at
both ends of the cable is the same for both channels.
• If the UnitiQute
daB/FM
tuner is to be used, a suitable aerial must be connected to the
DAB/FM aerial socket. The DAB/FM tuner cannot operate without an aerial. Contact your
local Naim retailer or distributor for advice on selecting and installing an aerial.
• If an external power amplifier or subwoofer is to be used, connect its signal cable to the
preamp
output on the UnitiQute rear panel.
• If any external audio sources are to be used with UnitiQute, connect these, using the
appropriate cables, to the front panel
UsB
socket or rear panel
analogue
or
digital
inputs.
• If an external digital to analogue converter, or an amplifier with a digital input, is to be
used with UnitiQute, connect it, using the appropriate cable, to the rear panel
digital
output.
• If UnitiQute is to play audio from a
Upnp
™
server or from an internet radio (iRadio)
station either its
network socket
must be connected to a network router using an RJ45
Ethernet cable or its
Wi-Fi antenna
must be fitted to the rear panel
Wi-Fi socket
.
iradio
also requires a high-speed internet connection.
