Check using an external calibration mass

A 50 g standard mass should be used for checking. The mass must be accurate and the

exact value should be known.

Zero must appear on the screen; if not, then press

Tare

key (2.3) making sure that the

pan is empty.

Place the mass on the pan. If the difference between the value displayed and exact value

of the mass is less than ±0,0001g your balance is calibrated. If the difference is more than
± 0,0001g, please repeat the calibration procedure with the internal mass.

Note:

If

"CAL no"

is shown in the screen during calibration, this means the balance can

not be calibrated because the calibration weight used exceeded the limit of the calibration
weight value (not more than   10%).

If

"CAL no"

message remains in spite of using the appropriate weights, please ask

NAHITA authorized Technical Service.

Simple weighing

Take in mind the balance's temperature if you have moved it. In this case, wait for at

least an hour to obtain the plain temperature's stabilization. Calibrate the balance if you
consider it is necessary based on the

Calibration

point exposed before.

Turn on the display by pressing

On/Off

key (1.7) with the pan empty

When the value

0.0000 g

is shown in the screen with stabilized indicator (1.5) the balan-

ce is ready to take readings.

You can tare the balance if you are going to use a recipient by putting it on the balance,

then pressing

Tare

key (2.3) and waiting until the screen shows

0.0000 g

. After the value is

stabilized, you can weight.

Note:

1. The value of subtractive tare is kept in the balance's memory until

Tare

key (2.3) is pressed once again.

2. If you want to weight more than one substance in the same container and you require having their sepa-

rated weights, press

Tare

key (2.3) again each time you reach your wanted weight and

0.0000g

will be shown

on the screen, so you will obtain the independent/separate weights.

If you need to weight a substance that is in the interior of a recipient, put the full reci-

pient on the balance, then when the weight gets stabilized, press

Tare

key (2.3) and you

will read value

0.0000 g

on the screen. With the help of a spatula or a similar tool, move

the substance you want to weight to another recipient.  When you finish moving the subs-
tance to the other recipient you will obtain its weight with negative sign.

Below weighing

5034 NAHITA balances are provided with a system to measure

density and magnetic material's weighing.

Preparation

Place the balance on a table with the front portion of the balance out

of the edge of the table.

A round plastic plug will be found under the balance (6.10).
Take off the plug.
