Chapter 4 Operation Guide
This chapter mainly introduces the operation guide for the UPS, including pre-startup checklist,
precautions for operating UPS, operation and running, operation of parallel system, operation of
maintenance switch, etc.
4.1 Check before Startup

Confirm that battery switch (BATTERY), mains switch (MAINS), bypass switch
(BYPASS), maintenance bypass switch (MAINTENANCE BYPASS), output switch
(OUTPUT) of UPS 1 are all off.

Confirm that the total load capacity matches with the capacity of UPS and make sure the
load is off.

Confirm that there is no short-circuit between input live line and input neutral line, input
live line and input ground line. Confirm that there is no short-circuit in output.

Test the AC voltage of UPS 1’s mains input on the input terminal (POWER). The voltage of
AC input should be within the range of 85V-135Vac, or it needs to start the UPS without
mains.

If the UPS 1 is equipped with battery switch, measure the DC voltage of battery input
terminal (BATTERY), if the UPS is not equipped with battery switch, measure the DC
voltage of battery cabinet input terminal (BAT.), and check the wire connection of battery
cabinet and UPS. It is required that the voltage of battery group is the voltage required by
the device, which is to avoid wrong wire connection of battery.

Check if the color of AC cables is in accordance with electrical codes.

Check if the wiring of cabinet is firmly attached.
