Troubleshooting

Please note for troubleshooting device issues, there is a standard device ID
numbering system regardless of the number of devices with which your myPV
CommsSafe is communicating.

POA - Device ID 1

GHI - Device ID 2

BOM - Device ID 3

Ambient - Device ID 4

Wind Sensor - Device ID 5

Soiling - Device ID 6

Albedometer - Device ID 11

It is also important to note that our default Baud Rate is 9600, N, 8, 1

If the data plus and data minus are in their correct places and terminated correctly -
and all device ids are accurate - there are several potential issues that could be
occurring - the best way to resolve any issues is to contact the support team - and
we will walk you through other troubleshooting questions.

Dirty Whips

To ensure that your whips are operating correctly, please keep them clean. This
entails making sure the terminal ends of your whips do not come into contact with
mud, water, soil, and sand. These materials could damage the wiring.

If the whip is damaged during installation, please contact our support team or visit
our online store for information or assistance.
