Appendix B: Upgrading the MVE486
The MVE486 can be upgraded in three areas: The
CPU, the DRAM memory, and Cache size. Your sup-
plier should be able to provide all three upgrades.
SRAM chips can be hard to find, it may be necessary
to contact Mylex to identify a local dealer or distributor
who carries these parts. The Mylex customer service
phone number is (510) 796-6100 and is available
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Stand-
ard Pacific
The following information may assist in locating ap-
proved parts or ordering upgrade kits/parts from
Mylex.
