5.5 Transportation
5.5.1 Short
distance
transportation
For short distances (moving to another room, etc) there are no special requirements.
Just make sure that:
there are no rough transitions for example at the doorstep. Otherwise several items such
as the lamp could get damaged. In case of rough transitions, refer to
Long distance
transportation on page 61
.
all shafts are safely secured, if necessary with some extra tape or wire.
all support feet are completely turned in to avoid breaking them during transportation.
5.5.2 Long
distance
transportation
In case of moving the Unifixer 65 over a longer distance, for example to another building or to
an exhibition, there are several topics that you need to keep in mind.
Make sure:
all media is removed from the shafts.
all shafts are safely secured, if necessary with some extra tape or wire.
the quartz glass heating element is removed from the Unifixer 65.
In case of removal, follow the procedure in
Installing the heating element on page 23
in
reverse order.
all support feet are completely turned in to avoid breaking them during transportation.
the Unifixer 65 is safely secured on a pallet and protected in a crate like when it first
arrived.
Note
When reinstalling the Unifixer 65 after transportation, condense could occur.
Remove this condense with a dry cloth.

In case of rough transitions, make use of the wooden ramp.
