A good overall performer in BLI’s three-
month evaluation, the Muratec MFX-1200
is a 12-page-per-minute, Segment 1 multi-
functional unit offering exceptional
multitasking capabilities, allowing users to
reserve up to 10 copy jobs in advance. In
contrast, with other Segment 1 products
tested, users cannot reserve even one copy
job while another is in progress. A laser-
based simplex-only unit equipped with a
platen, the MFX-1200 demonstrated perfect
reliability, completing its 10,050-impression
durability test without any misfeeds or re-
quiring any service. In addition to standard
standalone copy and fax capabilities, the unit
offers optional PC and Internet fax, scan and
network print capabilities.
