used for frequently sent messages — e.g.,
“Weekly sales figures.” Users click on the
“e-mail subject” and then the “template”
button” to display the list of pre-configured
subject/text templates
Finally, within the “email-subject” screen,
subject/text can be entered on-the fly, though
the 1-line interface for QWERTY entry makes
this a less than ideal procedure.
Network Attachments:
Another innovative feature for this class of
devices is the Muratec F-560’s ability to let
users attach network files to an email (in
addition to a scanned image). This feature is
triggered by pressing the “Attachment” button
in the “Others” screen. Just as with scan-to
folder function, users can browse a network
directory searching for a document. With this
feature, Muratec has essentially given this
MFP the core send capabilities of a desktop
email program.
Unlike competing devices, the F-560 can
capture not only print counts but scan counts
as well.
This allows both dealers & users the ability to
monitor the actual scan usage. The scan
count can be broken down by either fax
scans, copy scans or PC scans.
