2. The
Network
screen displays. Click the Identification Tab

Type a name in the
Computer Name
box that will identify this PC or laptop for
you. This name allows other computers on your network to communicate with this
computer. Each computer’s name must be unique on for each network or confusion
will result. The name can be up to 15 characters with no spaces.
4.
Type a name the
Workgroup
box that you would like to assign to the workgroup
sharing files and printers. All of the computers on your network must have the
same Workgroup name.
5.
The
Computer Description
box is an optional field. You can use it for entering a
description that will help you identify this computer on your network.
6. Once all the information is entered, click the
Close
button.
7. Repeat this process for each computer on your network to ensure that they all
have a unique
Computer Name
and the same
Workgroup
name.
