Modulation Handshake

Disables automode. The modem attempts a handshake at the
speed set by

, at the most recently sensed serial
port speed.

Enables automode. The modem attempts a handshake at the
speed set by

or, if

, at the highest possible speed.
During the handshake, fallback to a lower speed can occur.
Note:
Setting the

command automatically sets the

parameter of the
+MS
command.

are provided only
for compatibility with existing software.

is the recom-

Configures the modem for pulse (non-touch-tone) dialing. Dialed
digits are pulsed until a
