Choose the
Standard CMOS Setup
option from the
CMOS Setup Utility
menu
shown below to display the following screen. The Standard CMOS Setup allows
users to configure system components such as date, time, hard disk drive, floppy
disk drive, display and memory. When a field is highlighted, on-line help
information is displayed on the left bottom edge of the screen.

Standard CMOS Setup Screen
Primary/Secondary;Master/Slave Types
This category identifies the types of hard disks that have been installed in the
computer. There are 45 predefined types and 4 user defineable types for Enhance
IDE BIOS. Type 1 to Type 45 are predefined. Type User is user-defineable.
Press PgUp or PgDn to select a numbered hard disk type or type the number and
press <Enter>. Note that the specifications of your drive must match with the drive
table. The hard disk will not work properly if you enter improper information for
category. If your hard disk drive type is not matched or listed, you can use "User"
to define your own drive type manually.
