Installing/Replacing Air Filtration Cartridge(s)/Canister
WARNING!
Use this respirator with the correct air filtration cartridge(s)/canister for protection against specific
chemical or particulate contaminants. Do NOT use this device if you cannot make sure that the air
filtration cartridge(s)/canister are applicable for the contaminant. The respirator will not supply
protection unless all inhaled air is pulled through applicable air filtration cartridge(s)/canister.
Do NOT use air filtration cartridge(s)/canister with an expired shelf life.
Do NOT use the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister if the packaging is opened, damaged, or missing.
Make sure that the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister are in its original packaging before use in a
contaminated environment.
Do NOT replace the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister in a contaminated area.
Obey the decontamination and disposal procedures set by the applicable authorities.
Failure to obey these warnings can result in serious personal injury or death.
6.2.1 Single Port
Use the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister immediately after removing them from the packaging.
Replace the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister after each use.
Discard used air filtration cartridge(s)/canister according to the decontamination and disposal proce-
dures set by the applicable authorities.
Obey the change-out schedule for the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister.
When used at specified occupational exposure limits, do NOT exceed the rated service time.
(1) Remove the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister from the
packaging.
(2) Make sure that the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister
are not damaged.
(3) Make sure that the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister
are applicable for use against all contaminants in the
environment.
(4) Look at the label on the air filtration cartridge(s)/
canister to make sure that the shelf life has not
expired. If the shelf life has expired, do NOT use the
air filtration cartridge(s)/canister.
(5) Attach the air filtration cartridge(s)/canister to the
facepiece port and hand-tighten it.
