CAUTION! You can still brew coffee without descaling but it is recommended to perform this operation imme-
diately after signalling by the device.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Coffee does not flow during brewing No water in the tank Add water to the tank
Ground coffee is too fine Replace the coffee in the filter basket with
less ground coffee
Too much coffee in the filter basket Fill the filter basket with less coffee
Coffee is pressed to hard in the filter
basket Fill the filter with coffee and press it with
less force
Coffee flows out of the sides of the
portafilter The portafilter is not blocked in its final
position Move the portafilter to its final position
Coffee on the edge of the portafilter Remove the portafilter and clean the edge
Too much coffee in the filter basket Fill the filter basket with less coffee
Milk is not steamed, it does not flow
from the nozzle Insufficient steam Add water to the tank
